I am so excited to start this new blogging journey, and to share this gorgeous winter elopement as my first post! Nick and Hannah were originally scheduled to be married on September 12, 2020, and like so many other couples had to make changes due to the national pandemic going on. When they originally emailed me, they pushed it out to August 2021. I was so excited when they contacted me a few months later wanting to elope!
Having chosen the Christmas Farm Inn located in the White Mounts of New Hampshire – I could not have chosen a better location for an intimate elopement! Nestled in a quaint little town that you arrive by driving through a covered bridge, Jackson gave the feel of intimacy surrounded by the large snow-capped mountains. With the weather a bitter 30 degrees and windy, keeping close together for warmth allowed for beautifully intimate outdoor portraits. Having retreated inside after a while for warmth, the warm wood tones of the barn, the leftover Christmas trees, and the stone fireplace made for an additional beautiful area for portraits.
I originally met up with Nick and Hannah back in June 2019 for their engagement session at Wheaton College. It was like meeting back up with old friends for their wedding! An elopement can be a unique opportunity to focus solely on the wedding couple. With no wedding party or guests in attendance, it offers the chance to have moments of intimacy that may not always be found at a large wedding. With the national pandemic continuing, more couples are turning to elopements, and they can be so amazing! At this particular elopement, because Nick and Hannah’s families were not aware they had chosen to elope I also had the fun opportunity to provide them with a small highlight video of their day. I by no means pretend to be a videographer but I am so happy to have been able to give this extra little gift to them both to be able to share with their families (scroll all the way to the end for a peek)!
From Hannah’s wedding dress that she sparkled in, to the boots she wore to fight the snow (so awesome!), and the adorable bow tie Nick wore – the details for this day are so beautiful, and I am excited to share some favorite images below!
Nick and Hannah, I was so honored to be the secret keeper to your gorgeous day and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
Lastly, but certainly not least – enjoy this video look into their beautiful day!
