Can you believe it is already the beginning of summer?! Scorching days like the high of 90 degrees that hit my house today are ahead. However, back on April 17th, when Katrina and Eric were married at Slater Memorial Park in Pawtucket, RI– it was a chilly, overcast day. However, chilly as it was – it was full of friends, family and love – the perfect combination!
Using the gazebo and beautiful wooden bridges as the backdrop for their ceremony – Katrina’s family set up a small table to hold a few details special to the couple, including hand made boxes for letters written to Katrina and Eric. Starting the day off with a few bridal images of Katrina, with her white leather jacket, beaded top of her dress and the sun catching the sparkles in her gown, it was easy to capture gorgeous images! Following, with just enough time before Eric arrived, Katrina shared a first look with her father and then her mother- leaving the emotions high as she prepared to walk back to the gazebo to get married.
Surrounded by their children, family and friends – Katrina and Eric had a quick ceremony – briefly interrupted by the best man running back to the car for the rings (oops! haha, but made for a great photo, by the way!), but otherwise filled with laughter and beautifully written vows. After, while taking photos- their friends and family ran up behind them for a surprise group hug, the best way to end a ceremony if you ask me!
While my time with them was short – I was so honored to capture their beautiful moment. I hope you enjoy a few images from their day (including the best man running, cause how can I not include that?!), and a little highlight video below.
Katrina and Eric, I wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
